She published her first book in 2017 titled Diving in Stilettos First: Memoirs of Dating Mr. Right Now!  Diving in Stilettos picks up where her marriage left off.  Single again, in New York City in her 30s during the age of online dating and social media.  During the writing process she learned a lot about herself, calling it therapeutic. She also realized that she wasn’t the only one that could benefit from these lessons learned, so she wrote a book.  Readers connect with Shauntay and her journey because they either know a Shaunie or see themselves in her stilettos.

Her blog “Tales from the Single Relationship Expert is enlightening and informative. Shauntay has teamed up with brands like Estee Lauder, Lord & Taylor, Shea Moisture, FitLine, Essence Festival to host event and speaking engagements across the country.  Her first book was voted favorite read of 2018 by Epifania Magazine, she was the feature author at the Women in Media (WIM) Philly Conference and spoke at Mercy College February 2020.  She has written relationship articles for online magazines such as Da Culture and Epifania currently she is the relationship columnist for Pretty N Paid Magazine.

 

Shauntay has done guest appearances on television and podcasts engaging in healthy conversations about love, life, dating, divorce and self-awareness.  She is currently working on book #2, all while maintaining a day job as an event planner for a luxury publisher in New York City.  Collaborating with other social media influencers and lifestyle experts to create online content and special events to empower women has become her passion.
